Hechavarria to DL, Nick Green Selected from Triple-A

Adeiny Hechavarria apparently smacked that ball so hard Monday night that he injured himself.

No, really, that might be what happened. Joe Frisaro tweets that the shortstop has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 17th with an elbow contusion. The Marlins have selected Nick Green’s contract from Triple-A to replace Hechavarria on the roster when they open up a four game series tonight in Cincinatti.

Can things get any worse for Miami? Well, it certainly looks like it as the team has also shifted Nathan Eovaldi to the 60-day DL, making that article I wrote the other day about him coming back soon pretty moot. It looks like the Kevin Slowey/Alex Sanabia era in Miami will continue a whole lot longer than anticipated.
